A lovely sweet red fruit charcater gives way to a good, refreshing and balancing acidity which is very different to the wines we find today. One to drink with food rather than on its own, this wine offers great value for money. VINEYARD Selected Tuscan vineyards - sandy, clayey and calcareous soil GRAPE VARIETIES 90% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon VINIFICATION Old traditional vinification methods: completely mature grapes are hand picked from vineyards, the fermentation and maceration with the skins take place at controlled temperatures of 20-23°C. Afterwards the wine is pressed and proceeds to the malolactic fermentation in steel tanks. When the wine is ready the process is completed with a tangential filtration prior the bottling. TASTING NOTE This wine has an intense ruby red colour with rich fruity flavours and a slight fragrance of cherries and strawberries. The palate is dry and balanced, with light, soft , ripe tannins.
