TINPOT HUT SAUVIGNON BLANC 2011

This is the new vintage of one of our most popular wines. Tinpot Hut's Winemaker Fiona Turner has worked on many of the most successful wines made in Marlborough.This classic Marlborough Sauvignon has lovely depth and intensity and a Sauvignon pungency with an attractive mineral character on both the nose and palate.

VINEYARD
The grapes for this wine were sourced primarily from Tinpot Hut's own vineyards in Blind River, Marlborough and combined it with grapes from some other carefully selected sites in the area.

GRAPE VARIETIES
100% Sauvignon Blanc

VINIFICATION
After juice clarification, the wine was inoculated with pure, aromatic yeast strains and cool fermented. Once dry, the wine was stabilised, filtered and bottled.

TASTING NOTES
Pale lemon in colour with intense, lifted aromas reminiscent of blackcurrant, lemongrass and thyme with passionfruit notes. A complex palate with classic Blind River characters that shine through: blackcurrant bud and sweet green herbs; with underlying ripe fruit and mineral notes. A pleasingly rich and powerful Sauvignon Blanc with well-balanced acidity and a long lingering finish.
