Schloss Vollrads is a producer with a great deal of heritage. This introductory level wine shows the true quality that can be achived by German Riesling, even at this price level. The wine has fresh, floral perfumes. Light citrus and crisp apple notes on the palate, finishing with a lemon/lime twist.

Johannes Selbach clearly desires to make elegant, crisp wines with exceptional aging potential, purity of fruit and the telltale slate mineral character that is part of the typical of his vineyards terroirs. This Kabinett wine, which is becoming rare in the Mosel, offers lovely ripe, pure and delicate wine, with a well balanced (slight) sweetness. 90-95 points from Robert Parker.

This wine shows the expressive power of old, un-grafted vines. Naturally low yields and ultra-deep roots produce rich, concentrated wines that reflect the red soil brilliantly. Made from selected bunches of very ripe, late-picked grapes, Auslese ("selected late picking") packs the maximum amount of vineyard character into the bottle. This wine is the "regular" Auslese (white capsule) and is made without botrytis affected grapes.
