Offering extremely high quality winemaking and a very attractive rosé wine, this is great drinking when you want a serious pink wine to match food. VINEYARD Les Tourelles was created after AXA's purchase of Château Pichon-Longueville in 1986, to create a wine that had all Chateau's characteristics but which could be drunk earlier than the Grand Vin. This wine is the rosé version which is only made in certain vintages when the winemaking team think the grapes have sufficient concentration and freshness to work as a rose. GRAPE VARIETIES 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc VINIFICATION The Château utilises stainless steel tanks, cold settling and cultured yeasts. This wine underwent a slow fermentation at 18oC for 2 months before short ageing in vats to capture and preserve the fruit identity. TASTING NOTE The wine has a beautiful rosé colour and an intense fruity and very fresh nose of red berries and pear drop. The palate of sweet red fruit is powerful but round and fleshy and very well balanced by a nice touch of acidity at the finish.
