LUSTAU VORS 30 YEAR OLD OLOROSO SHERRY

Now then, this is about as good as any Sherry gets. This is a 30 year old Oloroso and is the result of a selection of the best cask out of 10 which are aged in a Solera founded in the 1920s. The Council of the Denomination of Origin has endorsed this wine with the category VORS, more than 30 years of ageing and it is very old and very rare - a special treat for Chirstmas.

VINEYARD
Bodegas Emilio Lustau was founded in 1896 and currently owns 220 hectares of vines, with one vineyard in one in Chipiona and one in Montegilillo, to the north and north-east of Jerez de la Frontèra respectively

All the soils are the classic albariza of Jerez

GRAPE VARIETIES
100% Palomino Fino

VINIFICATION
The grapes are harvested in early September and only the free run juice is used. The must then undergoes temperature controlled fermentation before being fortified in preparation to the ageing process, for a minimum of 30 years.

TASTING NOTE
Brilliant tones of old gold, with bronze hues. This wine has aromas of nougat, apricots and plums. Intense and warming, mouth filling, reminiscent of marron glacé on the palate and old brandy due to its great concentration.
