EMILIO LUSTAU PUERTO FINO SHERRY NV (SCREWCAP)

A truly great wine matured in the town of Puerto de Santa María, considered by many experts to be the home of the finest classic fino. The flagship of the House of Lustau; a dry elegant Sherry, light and smooth with just a hint of the sea and attractive fruit. Very fresh, with a slight taste of tangy yeast. The pronounced flor bouquet is due to Puerto Fino's double maturation under fresh flor. Awarded Gold Medal at IWC 2005.

VINEYARD
Bodegas Emilio Lustau was founded in 1896 and currently owns 220 hectares of vines, with one vineyard in one in Chipiona and one inMontegilillo, to the north and north-east of Jerez de la Frontèra respectively

All the soils are the classic albariza of Jerez

GRAPE VARIETIES
100% Palomino Fino

VINIFICATION
The grapes are harvested in early September and only the free run juice is used. The must then undergoes temperature controlled fermentation before being fortified in preparation to the ageing process.

The wine is then aged in a traditional solera system under a layer of flor in Puerto de Santa María, considered by many experts to be the home of the finest classic fino.

TASTING NOTE
This is a dry elegant Sherry, light and smooth with just a hint of the sea and attractive fruit. Very fresh, with a slight taste of tangy yeast.
