LUSTAU OLOROSO DULCE ANADA 1990

This is one seriously good Sherry. From the 1990 vintage, the wine has spend 17 years American oak casks to develop a deep, sweet and stunning complexity. About as far away from Harvey's Bristol Cream as a sweet Sherry can get. This is the real thing!

VINEYARD
Bodegas Emilio Lustau was founded in 1896 and currently owns 220 hectares of vines, with one vineyard in one in Chipiona and one in Montegilillo, to the north and north-east of Jerez de la Frontèra respectively

All the soils are the classic albariza of Jerez

GRAPE VARIETIES
100% Palomino Fino

VINIFICATION
The grapes are harvested in early September and only the free run juice is used. The must then undergoes temperature controlled fermentation before being fortified to retain the sweetness and in preparation to the ageing process.

The wine was aged in American oak casks for seventeen years. The production was 8,000 bottles.

TASTING NOTE
Old golden brown and tinged with smoky oak aromas piercing . Mild, sweet flavor operating dates and apricots on the palate , complex and balanced.
