LUSTAU AMONTILLADO DEL PUERTO ALMACENISTA GONZALEZ OBREGÓN
Since 1981 Lustau has selected small quantities of the finest quality sherries which have been matured by small independent producers, better known as "almacenistas". This Amontillado, from Gonzalez Obregon, is classic, rich, nutty and has a very long finish.
VINEYARD
Bodegas Emilio Lustau was founded in 1896 and currently owns 220 hectares of vines, with one vineyard in one in Chipiona and one in Montegilillo, to the north and north-east of Jerez de la Frontèra respectively
In the past these Almecenista wines were not accessible to the consumer, until Lustau offered their selection to discerning wine drinkers. Manuel Lozano, Lustau's"capataz", makes the selection and Lustau bottles them, untreated, exactly as withdrawn from their soleras.
On each label of almacenista sherries they indicate the name of the producer, the style of the wine, the town where it has been matured and the number of barrels that make up the solera. This is Lustau's way of paying homage to these artisans,
