A refreshing lemon flavour and a good streak of acidity give this wine a character that is distinctly Italian and a welcome change from over heavy New World Chardonnays. Great price too! VINEYARD Selected Tuscan vineyards - sandy, clayey and calcareous soil GRAPE VARIETIES 85% Trebbiano Toscano, 15% Chardonnay VINIFICATION Soft-crushed grapes and free-run must are processed at low temperatures. Clarification at controlled temperature (14/15° C). The clean product is filtered and fermented at 16-18°C. When fermentation is perfect the wine is stored underground at a constant low temperature tanks before bottling. TASTING NOTE The wine has an appetising brightness about it with greenish reflections. The nose has an intense fragrance of sweet lemons with notes of apple and wild flowers. On the palate it is dry and full of character with a distinct acidity.
