LIVIO FELLUGA "SHARIS" 2008

The white wines of Felluga standout year after year. They have depth, definition, fragrance and length.
The Sharis offers a delecate white peach perfume combined with rich and elegant fruit on the palate and a fresh acidity. Smashing!

VINEYARD
The estate's vineyards straddle provincial borders, being located in both Colli Orientali and Collio.

The vines are Guyot trained. Harvest takes place in the first few weeks of September.

GRAPE VARIETIES
70% Chardonnay, 30% Ribolla Gialla

VINIFICATION
The grapes were destemmed without crushing the berries. A brief maceration on the skins followed, before gentle pressing. The Chardonnay was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and the Ribolla Gialla in small oak barrels. The varieties were then blended together and aged in bottle before release

TASTING NOTE
Sharjs has a delicate perfume of white peaches which gives way to a rich yet elegant fruit on the palate. The long finish, with an attractive fresh acidity on the end, is indicative of the quality characteristic of Felluga wines.
