LA FERME JULIEN CÔTES DU LUBERON 2007 LA FERME JULIEN CÔTES DU LUBERON 2007

Produced by the Perrin brothers of Château de Beaucastel fame, this is a top quality, great value wine from the southern Rhône valley. The wine itself is a fascinating blend of four local varieties and provides a refreshing and aromatic wine, perfect with cold meats, with fish or simply as an aperitif.

VINEYARD
This clay soil is found in these vineyards on the Loire Valley. It gives the captivating mineral quality to all the best wines made in this area.

GRAPE VARIETIES
100% Sauvignon Blanc, which is unusual for a Valencay wine, a typical version having some Chardonnay blended in.

VINIFICATION
Gentle pressing in a pneumatic press is followed by a long, slow fermentation in temperature controlled vats to maximise perfumes and fruit character. The must was fermented in stainless steel tank.

TASTING NOTE
This wine is dry yet aromatic with good depth on the mid palate that makes it highly quaffable. It has a fragrant nettley character and crisp acidity on the finish.
