MUSCAT DES BEAUMES DE VENISE 2006 JABOULET

Muscat des Baumes de Venise comes from the Southern Rhône Valley and is a vin doux naturel giving a sweet and fortified wine. This is a lovely example showing fresh aromatic and perfumed fruit and a rich and warming palate that gives you a real taste of the south of France.

VINEYARD
The vines are 35 years old and the soil is sandy marl in the southern areas and argilo-calcareous in the northern ones.

GRAPE VARIETIES
100% Muscat á Petit Grains Blanc

VINIFICATION
Direct pressing of grapes harvested by successive passes with a minimum natural sugar content of 252g/l , a cold fermentation takes place on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks until at 11% residual sugar remaining, it is stopped by the addition of neutral alcohol. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks and in the bottle.

TASTING NOTE
Clear golden colour with attractive brightness. This is a sweet wine with white peach, quince and exotic fruit aromas. Final note of honey and candied fruit. Ample, fresh attack with final warm rich notes of candied fruit.
