VILLA LUCIA TOSCANA ROSSO IGT 2005 This is a classic Italian red from the Tuscan hills. A lovely sweet red fruit charcater gives way to a good, refreshing and balancing acidity which is very different to the wines we find today. One to drink with food rather than on its own, this wine offers great value for money. PROMESSA NEGROAMARO 2005 Made from a classic grape from Puglia in Southern Italy, the Negroamaro offers a interesting insight into the quality of the wines now being made there. This wine offers great value and unusual drinking, giving a highly perfumed blackberry tinged wine. More Information Per Bottle £5.99 Quantity:		VILLA TONINO NERO d'AVOLA 2005 From a classic Sicilian variety, this wine is made by a traditional Marsala producer. VILLA TONINO SYRAH 'Baglio Curatolo' 2004 Villa Tonino are famous for their Marsala, but this Syrah shows that their winemaking skill is transferable! A deep coloured and fleshy wine with considerable oak, well integrated into the body of the wine. More Information Per Bottle £6.99 Quantity:		ALLEGRINI VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO 2006 Another Italian wine that is often made poorly and underrated as a result. Allegrini is a producer of great, classical Vaolpolicella showing attractive perfume, black cherries and a lively acidity, this is a really super example of this wine, for a great price. TENUTA CERRO DEL MASSO CHIANTI 2006 This wine, coming from the hills just outside of Empoli in Cerreto Guidi in Tuscany, displays great power and concentration and is rounded and full bodied on the palate. It makes a great, everyday Chianti at a very competitive price for this level of quality. More Information Per Bottle £7.50 Quantity:		CABERNET/ SYRAH TOSCANA IGT 2005 FORTEDIGA This wine, from a relatively new vineyard in Tuscany, is an excellent example of the quality of modern winemaking in Italy. Offering rich red fruits and a complex and balancing spiciness, this would be a great partner to all types of Italian cuisine. CANTINE LEONARDO CHIANTI RISERVA 2004 This Chianti riserva comes from a high quality Co-operative in Tuscany. Offering a classic Chianti nose of black cherries and spice, along with sweet red fruits on the palate along with balancing tanning and acidity, this is a perfect food wine. It won a silver medal at the 2007 International Wine Challenge. More Information Per Bottle £10.99 Quantity:		ISOLE E OLENA CHIANTI CLASSICO 2005 This estate, run by the De Marchi familiy, is one of the most respected in Chianti. This classic Chianti Classico wine is a light but brilliant ruby colour with an alluring, Pinot-like nose and soft, accessible fruit on the palate. More Information Per Bottle £14.49 Quantity:
NEGRO BARBERA d'ALBA BRIC BERTU 2003 This wine is a classic Barbera d'Alba from a great producer. A lovely deep colour and classic cherry aromas open out into a black fruit and plum palate. This wine has the potential to age 10+ years, but can be enjoyed immediately. More Information Per Bottle £14.99 Quantity:		GIOVANNI ALLEGRINI RECIOTO CLASSICO 2004 Recioto is similar to Amarone in that it is made by drying grapes on straw mats to concentrate the sugars and flavours. The difference comes when the wine is fermented; recioto is a sweet wine showing attractive cherry, dark fruits and some spice. Very different and an excellent example. MASSOLINO BAROLO 2003 This is a classical style, structured Barolo with delicate perfume of roses and cherries, but underpinned by tannins and acidity that will keep the wine fresh and lively for many years to come - one for the cellar. More Information Per Bottle £25.99 Quantity:		TENUTA FONTODI SYRAH 2003 Fontodi's Syrah is ranked as one of Italy's best examples of this variety, made very much in the Northern Rhône style, it is often compared with the great Côte Rotie's of Guigal. MASSOLINO BAROLO 'PARAFADA' 2002 This wine is Massolino's modern style Barolo, still showing great structure but displaying attractive fresh fruit and intensity of flavour. This wine is made to drink much earlier than the more structured traditional Barolos, so is a great option for current drinking. More Information Per Bottle £32.99 Quantity:		ALLEGRINI AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO 2003 Amarone is made by drying grapes on straw mats to concentrate the sugars and flavours. This leads to a highly extracted and alcoholic wine with massive depth of flavour and complexity. It is a dry wine, but shows a sweet and attractive fruit character. Goodness me, this is really good!
