This wine has the body and fruit character to balance the acidity and is a great example of how good Gavi di Gavi can be in the right hands and with careful vinification. VINEYARD Lugarara vineyard are located in Gavi, Rovereto, Piemonte. The vineyards are grey marl with loose sandy topsoil, resulting in an open style of wine. The vines are Guyot trained and are planted at a density of 4000 vines/ha. GRAPE VARIETIES 100% Cortese VINIFICATION The grapes are gently pressed, then cool fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Unoaked, the wine is bottled in the spring following the harvest. TASTING NOTE The wine is fresh and clean with good concentration on the palate with mineral and citrus notes.
