This is a beautifully structured and perfectly balanced wine and comes complete in a wooden gift box with a decanting funnel included. VINEYARD Broadly the Douro region is formed of schistous rock and it produces the unique characteristics of Port wine. Generally, the vines are trained double guyot on the terraces but cordon unilateral (or single guyot) for ‘vinha ao alto’. All the vines are grafted onto American rootstock. GRAPE VARIETIES Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cao, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Amarela VINIFICATION We are awaiting details of this wine's vinification methods. Please come back soon. TASTING NOTE Guimaraens Vintage Ports are intensely rich and concentrated, with a voluptuous femininity and sublime, velvety texture. Beautifully structured and perfectly balanced, they show the superb marriage of power and breed for which the house of Fonseca Guimaraens is renowned.
