It is a vibrant wine with an intense lemon, grapefruit, honeysuckle and flowery nose along with a crisp, lemon palate. Lovely! CLOSURE:    Stelvin ALCOHOL:    12.5% (9.4 units per bottle) VINEYARD The Mangan vineyard, which is owned and managed by Rick Cullen with supervision from Cullen Wines, is dry farmed and maintained using a biodynamic approach to viticulture. This is the first time the Sauvignon Semillon has been 100% from this vineyard. Soils are old, granite and gravely sandy loam, overlaying lateric subsoils. GRAPE VARIETIES 61% Semillon, 39% Sauvignon Blanc VINIFICATION All grapes were hand-harvested and sorted before crushing. 30% of the blend was fermented with wild yeasts and 15% of the Sauvignon Blanc was fermented in new French oak barrels where it remained for three months. TASTING NOTE Vibrant pale straw in colour with green tints, it is fresh, lively on the nose, with strong gooseberry and lime aromas complimented by the clean vanillin oak. Complex and of great intensity, depth and length, it contains a multitude of fruit flavours, which include citrus, bay leaf, gooseberry and nectarine.
