BROOKFORD MERLOT PETIT VERDOT 2009 This wine, from Cranswick Estate, really reminds me of what budget Australian wine used to be like. Soft, jucy, easy drinking but with bags of rich, deep and spicy fruit. This wine offers absolutely outstanding value for money and is a mile away from most bulk, mass produced low priced Australian wines. Highly recommended! This McLaren Vale Cabernet has a vibrant brick red colour with purple hues and a nose of nutmeg, crushed leaves and tar. The palate is blackcurrant and cassis, rich and full-bodied.
